Re-populate Springfield with your favorite characters, from Barflies (Barney Gumble) to Wise Guys (Fat Tony). When Homer accidently causes a meltdown that wipes out Springfield, it's up to you to clean up his mess. From the writers of The Simpsons, comes the city building game that lets you create your own living, breathing Springfield. If you're a fan of the show, though, it's definitely worth checking out since it's free to download and play, as long as you don't mind waiting a bit. The Simpsons is a fun way to pass the time, but it can get frustrating if you don't want to spend real money to play the game. Some characters are also Premium, which means they can only be unlocked through an in-app purchase. Your only options, then, are to wait the several hours or more until your building is finished, or to purchase more doughnuts with real cash. Shelling out a few doughnuts will have your buildings up in no time, but they're also tough to come by in the normal course of gameplay. Unless, that is, you're willing to pay to speed up the process with doughnuts. Paying for speed: It takes time to build just about everything in your new Springfield, and that means waiting. It also tends to pause in the middle of dialog sometimes, and that may cause you to move on to the next speaker without letting the first person finish what they were saying. And you're almost certainly going to find it downloading updates the first time you open it. Loading times: This game can take a while to load. And you get a chance to see what they've done with the place. That means you can go visit your friends' cities to help them and earn bonuses for yourself. Play with friends: Since the nuclear meltdown seems to have also altered the space-time continuum, you can move from one parallel Springfield to another. The loose storyline and constant jokes will be a plus for any Simpsons fan. ProsÄialog and story: This game incorporates plenty of classic Simpsons-style dialog that pokes fun at the show, the characters, the game, and just about anything else you can think of. As you construct more buildings, you'll find more of your favorite characters, and you'll also discover some unexpected effects of the disaster on the space-time continuum. The Simpsons: Tapped Out tasks you with rebuilding Springfield after it's been wiped out by a nuclear meltdown.
